President Carl Baudenbacher visited Lima

Upon invitation of Dr Luis Diez Canseco, former President of the Court of Justice of the Andean Community, the President of the Court, Prof. Dr Dr Carl Baudenbacher, visited Peru in the week of 25 April. He was accompanied by his spouse, Dr Doris Baudenbacher-Tandler, by Dr Laura Melusine Baudenbacher, Legal Secretary at the Swiss Federal Administrative Court, and by his Head of Cabinet, Dr Philipp Speitler.
On 25 April he had a meeting with Dr. Diez Canseco. Amongst the participants of that meeting were Dr Ricardo Guillermo Vinatea Medina, Justice at the Supreme Court of Peru, and Prof. Roy Raúl Solórzano Solórzano, Director of the Masters Program in Intellectual Property and Competition Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú PUCP. On 27 April he paid a visit to Mr Walker San Miguel Rodríguez, Secretary General of the Andean Community. In the evening of that day he was received by the President of the Supreme Court of Peru, Doctor Víctor Ticona Postigo, and his delegation. On Thursday, 28 April, President Baudenbacher delivered the keynote speech at the annual international conference of PUCP’s law faculty on the topic “A Two Pillar System for South America (Mercosur/Andean Community)? – Experiences from the EEA”. Further speakers were Dr Laura Melusine Baudenbacher (“Key Issues of Competition Law Enforcement. Burden and Standard of Proof – Standard of Review – Extraterritorial Application”) and Dr Philipp Speitler (“Display Band and Plain Packaging Litigating and Arbitrating the Nudging of Smokers”)
