This book contains the speeches of the International Conference hosted by the EFTA Court on the 17 June 2011 on “Judicial Protection in the European Economic Area”. The book is divided into four parts: the first chapter deals with ‘EEA law and the role of the EFTA Court in general’. Chapter two addresses the topic ‘Access to Justice in the EEA’ and chapter three the subject ‘Doing Justice in the EEA’. The book closes with reflections on the two EEA Courts – the EU Court of Justice and the EFTA Court.

The volume documents not only the outstanding contributions made but also the discussions and thereby bears witness to the lively atmosphere at the conference. It is meant as an input to the current discussion on the accomplishments, problems and future of the EEA Agreement.
