On 5-6 September 2019, Judge Bernd Hammermann paid a visit to the Higher Regional Court and the Bavarian Constitutional Court in Munich together with the Association of Liechtenstein Judges (Vereinigung Liechtensteinischer Richter). The main topic under discussion was the most effective means to conduct court hearings with many litigants as in the so-called ‘NSU trial’. How to facilitate media support, and the general public’s access to the proceedings were discussed, in addition to questions of structural and technical prerequisites. The participants’ visit concluded with a visit to a criminal trial in the new high-security courtroom in Stadelheim, the high security prison in Munich.
