Official visit of H.E. Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, to the EFTA Court


On 2 July 2015 Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, who was accompanied by Statssekretær Marit Berger Røsland, Regjeringsadvokat Fredrik Sejersted, Ekspedisjonssjef Odd Magne Ruud, Ambassadør Anniken Ramberg Krutnes, Seniorrådgiver Kirsten Gislesen, Ambassaderåd Terje Aalia, Ambassadesekretær Niels Jacob Justesen, Konsul Christine Doerner paid an official visit to the Court. It was the first visit of a Norwegian Prime Minister to the Court. President Carl Baudenbacher gave an introductory speech on where the Court stands twenty-one years after its establishment. Following a tour of the Court’s premises and talks with the staff, Ms. Solberg participated, together with her entourage, in a working session with the Judges and the Registrar of the Court. The discussions focussed on the achievements of the past two decades and the challenges of the future.
